Brock University has been at the centre of innovation for the wine sector for decades but yesterday Vance Badawey and I announced the next step. The Federal Government is stepping up with $3.5 million for the Brock Farm.
An experimental farm will give Brock the opportunity ensure continued innovation. It also puts Brock at the centre of ensuring that the Canadian wine industry has Canadian vines that are tested for our climate and free of disease, rather than relying on Europe.
This was a big day for the wine sector and for any of us who enjoy a glass.
